St Paul’s students gathered to celebrate their A level and BTEC success and their plans for a bright future.

Students at St Paul’s Catholic College achieved very good A level results once again this year with 59% of students gaining A*-B grades and nearly a third of all grades being graded A* or A. Overall, 80% of students achieved A*-C grades with a 98% pass rate.

This led to 79% currently being offered their first-choice university and 26% going to Russell group universities. We also have students who have secured sought-after apprenticeships and others planning a GAP year or further education and training, an exciting next chapter.

All the staff, students and families today celebrated the results following the hard work and dedication shown over the last two years.

Stand-out performances came from Rebeca Acosta-Fernandez (Biochemistry, Bath), Matthias Ahouansou (Computer Science, Birmingham), Alexander Brasier (Economics, Bath), Charlie Carr (Mechanical Engineering, Warwick), Isabel Carr (Veterinary Science, Surrey), Heather Clark, Katy Furber, George Goodman, Jamie Griffin, Harry Haydon (Science of Sport Performance, Leeds Beckett), Grace Jago, Noa Maglente, Will Marr, Ella Rickard (Sociology, Bristol), Connie Smith (History, Oxford), Zara Stewart (English, St Andrew’s), Megan Trott (Law, Royal Holloway), Lucy Rhind-Tutt (Business Management, Reading), Maddie Watson, Emma Wing (English, Warwick) who all achieved two or more A* or A grades in their studies.

It is a real privilege to celebrate today with students and their families and witness how they have flourished in their time with us to go on to achieve great things. We are so proud of the people they have all become and know that the hard work and dedication of their studies have paid off, along with the support of their families and the dedicated staff at St Paul’s. Enjoy the celebrations!
