On 11th February 2025, our main college choir performed at a fantastic musical concert in Worthing.
Miss Holmes, Mr Stewart and Mr Noble accompanied our singers and were really proud of how well they represented St. Paul’s Music Department. Year 10 student, Emily Ahearn, who studies GCSE Music and has been a member of choir since Year 7, has written a short review of her experience!
The ‘Sings Live’ event was a great opportunity and a wonderful experience to be a part of. We were very honoured to be using the Worthing Assembly Halls as our performance venue and the organisers, West Sussex Music, had organised the event very effectively to make sure the whole concert ran smoothly. It was so lovely to get to hear each of the other school choirs sing their own prepared songs and the 26 students from St Paul’s choir sang ‘I Belong’ by Roseanne Reid. With the conducting and leadership by Rachel Maby from West Sussex Music, the various schools, including our own were able to sing three choir items altogether – with over 200 singers in total. Our massed choir items were, Oh Sing, Bring me Little Water Silvy and Green Garden. Overall, I would say it was a very successful event and extremely enjoyable.
