On Tuesday 22nd March, we celebrated World Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week to raise awareness as a school for those not so different to us. We wore odd, colourful socks and held a bake sale to raise money for Seaford Down’s Syndrome and Special Needs Support Group.
As a school community we raised over £285 which will go to setting up a youth group for older children with disabilities, including Down’s Syndrome. Thank you to everyone who donated both cakes and money to this important cause and/or raised awareness through their colourful socks!
