Maths Parents Mornings

Between the 6th October and the 2nd November 2016 the Maths department at St Paul’s Catholic College hosted 6 different morning sessions, where the parents of Year 7 students were invited to join us for a Maths lesson with a difference.

Parents had the chance to play various strategy and logic games with their students, and heard about how their attitude towards Maths plays such a key role in student success.

We were also able to share our current approach to teaching the number laws and demonstrate how students should be using technology at home with ILTs to support their learning.

Amazing! Feel totally inspired (and I would’ve said ‘I can’t do Maths’!). Loved it, thank you.

In addition parents and students were provided with a pack of Maths games to take home and play together. Over 60 parents attended the sessions in total and feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
